I had a Hold rating on Intel Corporation after the August $20 billion raise, but the rumored SK hynix Inc. deal could support the foundry turnaround thesis if confirmed. In my view, a joint venture or leasing arrangement with SK hynix could address both funding and demand issues for Intel's Ohio manufacturing site. I now need a confirmed deal from either party. I still remember the TSMC JV rumor from 2025, and I'm not giving Intel credit for something that never got signed.
